on stage with Nell-Anne

​I had the ultimate joy of sharing the stage with my daughter at the kirtan festival over the summer. A full 30 minutes where she sang with me the whole time! I wanted to wait to tell you this because she sang so well that I decided to record her vocals and add them to 2 songs from my latest album. The first one is Forever Pure which you can see the video from the festival below, and We Shall Overcome.

What makes it even more special is that Forever Pure is a song I used to sing to her so often when she was a baby falling asleep in my arms. To hear her sing it with me, to me, and to all of us, now with such ease and grace, creates a magic that I never dreamed was possible. And to hear her sing the words to We Shall Overcome gives me so much hope for humanity. When you hear it, you'll know what I mean! :)

It feels that all the work as a father for 8 years of her life culminated in those 30 minutes on stage. She made me so proud and the audience loved her. She received so many smiles and hugs afterwards, it warmed my heart to see her bring so much joy to others.
